Former Miss USA Rima Fakih Arrested For DUI

The first Arab American chick to win Miss USA Rima Fakih, was arrested by police early Saturday morning near Detroit on suspicion of DUI.

This is not really a huge story, it’s just funny. Why? Rima tried to cover up her arrest by claiming it wasn’t her. What a rookie quasi-celebrity thing to do. I mean, who cares? A DUI…that’s nothing in today’s celebrity bad behavior world.

According to the Detroit Free-Press, a tweet was sent out on the beauty queen’s officialaccount Saturday after media began reporting on the arrest, claiming that it was a different Fakih who had been arrested. The tweet was later removed.

Fakih’s attorney, Doraid Elder, told the newspaper on Sunday: “She is taking full responsibility. She wants to apologize to everybody she let down.”

According to Elder, Fakih was acting as designated driver for her friend when she realized she was too intoxicated to drive herself. When she pulled over, she was spotted by police and picked up.

The former “Friday Night Lights” actress Connie Britton has adopted a baby boy. The actress, who is now starring in Ryan Murphy’s “American Horror Story” welcomed home a nine month old boy named Yoby, from Ethiopia.

The 44 year old actress, who spent three years in the adoption process, met her son, who is also called , Eyob, last week. She told sources she is thanking her lucky stars everyday the new mom said.

The actress traveled to the African nation to meet Yoby, a journey she will never forget. It was such a wonderful moment of completion she said she though she was going to collapse into a puddle of tears. Adding, she was just grinning from ear to ear.

There are so many children all over the world that need adoption. Or somewhere they can literally call home. To have three meals a day, a roof over their heads, and the main thing; Love. People think it is easy to adopt a child however as stated above its not. It took three years for the actress Connie Britten to adopt her little boy. However, how long it takes should be nothing compared to having them in your home as your child after the long journey of adoption.
