Fast Five - Named Most Pirated Movie of 2011
Fast Five is Most Pirated Movie of 2011
The fifth sequel of the action movie franchise that started out with The Fast And The Furious in 2001, Fast Five may are already the highest-grossing movie in the series to date, although it only came in at #6 at the box office for 2011. Yet, director Justin Lin's third go at the property built on fast cars, Vin Diesel's biceps and Paul Walker's smile does have the dubious variation of being the movie most viewed by people who didn't experience like spending to see it. As reported by TorrentFreak (via MSN), Fast Five was the "most pirated film of 2011," with the movie being swapped online nearly 9.3 million times via BitTorrent.
Despite the incredible number of times Fast Five was illegitimately shared, there is a silver lining: it was changed out nearly 7 million times below the 2010 piracy leader, Avatar, which was illegally downloaded over 16 million times. Here's the 10 ten most pirated movies of 2011:
1. Fast Five
2. The Hangover Part II
3. Thor
4. Source Code
5. I Am Number Four
6. Sucker Punch
7. 127 Hours
8. Rango
9. The King's Speech
10. Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part 2
