Britney Spears' Engagement Ring: All the Details!
There are a few remaining updates it’s easier to put into a new post. So, Jason Trawick confirmed the engagement in plain English, telling Access Hollywood’s Billy Bush over text: “Yes, we are engaged… [and] over the moon.”
Us Weekly
sources add: “This is something they’ve both wanted for a long time. It’s a way
to cement their family. They’re both extremely happy and can’t wait to become
man and wife.”
So, it’s
finally confirmed and there are new details on Britney Spears’ engagement ring
too.
RadarOnline.com sources say “the ring will be classy and under 4-carats.”
Adding “the simple, elegant” ring is a ”Neil Lane, over three-carats, is a
platinum and [pave] diamond band, with a large classic round diamond.” Us
Weekly’s sources say similar: “It’s very traditional. [Jason] picked out
something he knew she would love.” It appears Trawick picked and paid for the
ring, in contrast to the gumball ring the singer chose and paid for herself in
her second marriage.
RadarOnline
clarify, the proposal took place in Los Angeles to avoid the negative
connotations of doing so in Las Vegas. Moreover, Trawick has the full support
of his new family: “Brit’s [parents] are simply over the moon that Jason will
become a member of the family. Her parents love and trust Jason with their
daughter. For a long time it was uncertain if Britney would ever be able to
find true happiness and love because of her various mental health issues, but
Jason is so patient, loving and understanding, and fully supportive of Britney.
Jason is very close to Britney’s mom, Lynne…. Jason proposed to Britney Thursday
night in Los Angeles. He would have never proposed to her in Las Vegas because
she got married there. Jason and Britney will be celebrating their engagement
in Vegas with friends tonight though. It will be an engagement/birthday
celebration for Jason.”
RadarOnline
add, because of the singer’s legal situation, she won’t marry until several
lawsuits against her are settled: “Lawyers for Britney’s conservatorship have
been successful in keeping her from being deposed in the Lutfi litigation, and
the lawsuit involving her Elizabeth Arden fragrance. First of all, everyone
involved wants Britney to get married once the conservatorship has been lifted…
She could get married under the conservatorship, but the judge would have to
sign off on it. If that were to happen, lawyers repping Lutfi would absolutely
go into court and argue that if Britney were able to get married, she should be
able to be deposed. There is no way Team Spears is going to let that happen. It
will likely be a long engagement, which is fine with Britney and Jason. They
are 100% solid and very much in love.”
E! say
similar of the long engagement, refuting rumours of a quickie Vegas wedding,
reporting: “[The wedding] is not happening anytime soon.”
